Tabfinder can be downloaded and installed from the app store for free but that will only allow you to use the search feature which is good enough. If you want to use all of the features of tabfinder, you will need to upgrade to tabfinder pro for Rs.110 or US $1.80 from the in-app purchase. Read on for the full review of Tabfinder.

When you press the main menu, you will get a left side-bar that contains more sub menus – search, favourites, history, chord dictionary, on and off switch for sync with icloud, like us on facebook, send feedback, tell your friends, tabfinder pro. We will get into them one by one.
The search sub menu takes you to the search screen where you can enter names of songs and search for its tabs. I tried finding tabs for around 5 or 6 songs and got all their tabs. With a database of 8,00,000 songs tabs, it shouldn’t be a problem to find tabs to songs you are searching for unless you are searching for a less known song.
When you search for tabs, you will be shown a list of tabs for songs relevant to your tabs. When you hit the tab you were searching for, you will be taken the next screen where you will see the tabs. One very cool feature of tabfinder is that you can set the tabs screen to auto scroll in different speeds and play along without needing to scroll the tabs up and down manually. So you can look at the tabs and play along from start to finish peacefully. The tabs screen also has the chord dictionary which can also be accessed from the main menu. But the chord dictionary can only be accessed after you upgrade to tabfinder pro by making a one time payment. You can also add the tabs to your favourites list by pressing a star button on top of the tabs screen. Free members can also add tabs to favourites list but the tabs added in the favourites list can only be accessed after upgrading. Lastly, you can share the tabs through facebook, twitter or email and you can also print the tab by air printer after you upgrade.
The favourites sub menu contains all the tabs that you have added to your favourites list. In the favourites screen, you will have a search bar to search for song tabs under the favourites list. You can also sort the list by artist name or by song title by pressing a button on the top right. The tabs in your favourites list becomes availabe even when you are offline and you can sync it to all your devices with icloud. The tabs under the favourites can only be accessed after upgrading to tabfinder pro.
The history sub menu contains all the tabs that you have searched in the past. All the tabs from history is available all the time – even when you are offline, which is a great feature. And you can sync it to all your devices with icloud. The history screen also has a search bar for searching tabs from the history. You can also delete tabs from the history by pressing the delete button on the top right of the history screen. The history too can be accessed only after you upgrade to tabfinder pro.
The chord dictionary sub menu contains chords with diagrams which can be a lot handy. If you don’t know a chord, you can simply look up for the chord diagrams from the chord dictionary. The chord dictionary too is locked and can be accessed only after you upgrade to tabfinder pro.

The tabfinder has most of the features locked and has made them accessible only after upgrading to tabfinder pro. The free version only allows you to search for tabs, read the tabs, play along with the tabs with auto scrolling, favourite a tab and share the tabs. Though it would have been nice to be able to use other features such as chord dictionary, history and favourites, which are blocked unfortunately, it is still good to be able to search and get tabs directly to mobile devices and play along with auto scrolling function. The auto scrolling function is a great feature which is available even for free users. And a database of 8,00,000 song tabs which is updated daily is more than enough. If you would like to upgrade, it can be done with a one time payment of Rs.110 or US $1.80. There are no subscriptions or monthly fees – which is good for us.
